Who we are
A young team doing patient, community-rooted work
CSN is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation founded by young, energetic development professionals.
We work with the most vulnerable, poorest of the poor and underprivileged people of remote, semi-urban and urban areas — on children, youth and women, health, education, livelihood, gender and cross-cutting agriculture, environment, tourism, disaster risk reduction, energy and infrastructure.
Vision: self-sustained communities where people are empowered and self-dependent, and social practices are non-discriminatory and equitable. Mission: to act as a development partner turning backward communities into prosperous ones through holistic initiatives.

Child Rights & Protection
Campaigns on child rights, prevention of trafficking, child labour, early marriage and unnecessary separation of children from families. Includes child clubs, child-friendly spaces and case support.

Health awareness, health camps and check-ups, sanitation and hygiene for vulnerable children, women and youth.
Livelihood & Employment
Income-generation, cash-for-work, community infrastructure rehabilitation and employment linkages — including the PM Employment Program response during COVID-19.
Disaster Risk Reduction & Recovery
Earthquake rescue, relief and temporary shelter (2015), reconstruction caravans, and community planning for disaster preparedness.
Agriculture & Environment
Improved farming systems, agro-business, environmental conservation and sustainable use of local resources.
Youth, Tourism & Infrastructure
Youth mobilisation, tourism promotion, renewable energy and small community infrastructure development.
Projects
Long-term work, not one-off aid
From earthquake rescue to digital classrooms and UNDP-backed livelihood recovery — a few of the efforts that define CSN.
Bhotekoshi Flood Response Project (CARITAS Nepal)
Relief distribution, shelter management, volunteer mobilisation, WASH and child-friendly spaces with facilitators for flood-affected people and infrastructure across Bidur, Tarakeshwor, Kispang and Belkotgadhi (Nuwakot) plus Uttargaya, Gosainkunda and Amachhodingmo (Rasuwa).
Sustainable Tourism Program, Gosaikunda Trail (UNDP / Nepal Tourism Board)
Foot-trail construction, resting shelters, wooden bridges, destination beautification, waste management, homestay and hotel/lodge training, first-aid training, signage and social audit in Dupcheshwor RM — 100+ people in short-term employment (20–25% women).
Sustainable Tourism & Livelihood Recovery, Gosaikunda + Millennium Trek (UNDP / NTB)
Tourism infrastructure, homestay management training, promotion workshops and social audit along the Gosaikunda trail (Dupcheshwor) and Millennium Trek (Tanahun, Syangja).
Tourism Livelihood Recovery for COVID-affected workers (UNDP / NTB)
Temporary employment and relief packages for tourism workers who lost jobs to COVID-19 across Syangja, Makawanpur and Nuwakot, with green-technology infrastructure.
